Gumbuya World, Victoria’s only water, wildlife and theme park, is ready to welcome back Victorians just in time for summer, announcing it is reopening this Saturday 14th November (10.00am – 5.00pm), with visitors able to enjoy all four worlds all weekend long in a COVID-safe environment.

Throughout November, all four worlds (Oasis Springs, Oz Adventure, Outback Explorers and the Wildlife Trail) will be open from 10.00am until 5.00pm on weekends, with the Wildlife Trail open on weekdays from 10.00am – 4.00pm.

Gumbuya World CEO, Ron Weinzierl, said the entire team are incredibly excited to welcome back visitors after what has been a challenging year.

“We are so thrilled to be able to reopen and are looking forward to throwing open the doors just in time for the warmer weather. There is so much on offer, from rides to amazing wildlife and water activities galore.”

“The health and safety of our staff, guests and wildlife continues to be of the highest priority, so we have implemented a range of new measures in line with Government recommendations to ensure that everyone including all visitors can enjoy the park safely,” Mr Weinzierl said.

“This includes hand sanitising stations throughout the park, cashless payments, social distancing on both dry land and in the water and compulsory masks for anyone over 12-years old,” he added.

With a sizzling summer on the cards for the state, patrons will be able to make the most of Oasis Springs which underwent a $10 million expansion last year. New features include The Break, a massive family wave pool, otherwise known as ‘the beach in the South East’, which also includes a standalone kid’s area and a number of new water slides including the adrenaline inducing Tiger Snake Tango and the Red Belly Racer.

Families can also enjoy the 300-metre-long Lazy River or hang 10 on Surf’s Up – an epic wave machine perfect for beginners to experts.

Thrill seekers can enjoy unlimited rides all day long in Oz Adventure, with the mighty Rebel and the high speed, high altitude Tree Swing. For little adventurer’s there is Outback Explorers, packed with plenty of fun for the little ones including Dodgem Cars, the Outback Pirate Ship and the super sweet Berry Twirl.

Finally, with more than 50 species of animals, including a brand-new koala baby, The Wildlife Trail is the perfect destination to spot something furry, featured or fanged. For an unforgettable experience, visitors can book an Animal Close Encounter and get up and close and personal with some of the amazing animals.
