Rip Curl unveils its new Summer 2021 collection with the launch of a new global campaign that champions women all over the world, Summer Looks Good on You.
The fresh direction for the brand empowers women to be active and confident at the beach – embracing waves and having fun with friends. The Summer 2021 collection unveiled today epitomises the summer beach spirit of long days in the sun, diving into warm saltwater, exhilarating waves and – above all else – making unforgettable memories with your girl gang.
Summer Looks Good on You is unveiled at URBNSURF, Australia’s first and only wave pool, north of Melbourne. Attendees include top Aussie surfing talent, including Rip Curl athletes, twice World Surfing Champion Tyler Wright and two-times Australian Champion Molly Picklum. The event is hosted by Elise Elliott, who will take to the water to score a few waves herself, alongside AFLW stars Darcy Vescio, Sarah Hosking and Jess Hosking.

One such beach-lover is Tyler Wright, a hero in Australian sports. At just 26 years of age, Tyler is a double World Champion and inspirational pro-surfer. Hailing from Culburra, NSW, Tyler is excited about the upcoming World Tour and what it means for women in sport.

Tyler features in the Summer Looks Good on You campaign video, alongside other greats including Molly Picklum, an 18-year-old with two Australian Championship titles to her name, Bethany Hamilton, the pro surfer who survived a harrowing shark attack in 2003, and Brisa Hennessy, a pro surfer who ranks ninth globally and heralds from Costa Rica. Fifty other Rip Curl pro surfers also feature in the video, which previewed at the event and launches globally tomorrow.
Encompassing five key collections, dropping in-store and online from October 2021, the initial collection from the Summer Looks Good on You campaign has been designed with the senses of summer in mind, intertwined with cutting-edge technology, style and innovation.
The pinnacle of this innovation is Mirage, a collection of technical high-performance swimwear. Mirage is designed to support adventure-seeking surfers and beach goers alike. Blending Glide Skin neoprene for ultimate compression and two-way shape and stretch retention for support, the eco-friendly Italian Lycra kit has every water woman covered.
Summer Looks Good on You campaign team video will be made public from tomorrow, 18 March. The Spring Summer 2021 collection launches in stores from 21 October 2021.
